Charles Horan

Charles E. Horan, 61, of Belle Vernon, Washington Twp., died Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 4:50 am at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Jefferson Hills.  Born September 5, 1955 in N. Charleroi, PA he was the son of the late Verne E. Horan and Sue Beazell Horan who survives and resides in Belle Vernon.   A resident of Washington Twp. for the past 34 years, Mr. Horan was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon and was a retired equipment operator for PENN DOT.  Charlie was a member of the North Belle Vernon Fire Department where he served as the Safety Officer, was a life member of the Washington Twp. Volunteer Fire Department, the State Fireman's Association, the Western PA Fireman's Association The Elks Lodge 777, and the Russian Club of Pricedale where he served as the Vice President..

In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife Michele Santarel Horan to whom he was married 34 years, father in law & mother in law Vincent & Jean Santarel of Everson, sister in law & husband Sheree & David Keffer of Scottdale, nephew Vinnie Keffer of Scottdale, nephew Brian Ritch and family of Stahlstown and his fur baby Ryan.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 6-8 PM and Friday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.  Relatives and friends will gather at the North Belle Vernon Fire Department Social Hall, 545 Broad Ave. Belle Vernon on Saturday, September 24, 2016 where funeral services will be held at 10 AM.  Entombment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Members of the North Belle Vernon Fire Department will conduct services Friday evening at 6:15 pm in the funeral home.
