Frances Seman

Frances Malinowsky Seman, 88, of Belle Vernon, Washington Twp., died on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by her loving and devoted family. Born March 17, 1929, she was the daughter of the late William Malinowsky and Frances Goarlez Malinowsky of Fairhope.  She was preceded in death by her husband, George “Sonny” Seman, her son Phillip Seman, her grandson Daniel Mendicino, her brothers: Walter Malinowsky, Adolph Malinowsky, and sisters: Stella Malinowsky, Blanche Petrosky Moskal, Steffie DuJardin, and Nellie Basile.  A lifelong resident of Washington Twp., Frances was a member of Holy Spirit Parish in Fayette City and St. Sebastian RC Church of Belle Vernon, and an original Core Member of the Valley of Hope Charismatic Prayer Community for over 40 years, where she was instrumental in bringing a multitude of followers to the Lord. Frances demonstrated loving devotion to her disabled son, Phillip, whom she took care of for 60 years. Frances loved tending her flower gardens, baking for the holidays, singing to her grandchildren, and passing on holiday traditions.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  She is survived by her sister, Helen Trenk, her daughters: Francine Mendicino, with whom she resided, Mary B. Seman, and Annie Cowen, five grandsons: Domenic Mendicino, Jason and wife Steffanie Mendicino, Michael and wife Nicole Mendicino, Joseph and wife Jemma Mendicino, Justin Cowen, and four granddaughters: Jennifer and husband Zack Ramey, Jessica Cowen, Anne Marie Cowen, Frances Cowen, granddaughter-in-law Vanessa Mendicino, and 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.  Prayers of Transfer will be held Friday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10:00 am at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick Pastor as celebrant.  Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Frances Thursday at 3 pm in the funeral home.
