Michael D. Costello

Michael D. Costello, 70, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Twp., died suddenly Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Twp.  Born April 5, 1947 in N. Charleroi, he was the son of the late Michael "Ike' and Ann Simensky Costello.   A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mr. Costello was Catholic by faith and was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served in the US Navy.  Mike was retired from Three Rivers Marine, Belle Vernon, where he worked as a Mechanic, was a life member of Rostraver Central Volunteer Fire Department, was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler and Pirate fan, enjoyed fishing and most of all spending time with his family and granddaughters.

He is survived by his wife Janice Hillman Costello to whom he was married 47 years; son & daughter in law Michael Aaron Costello & wife Akemi of Woodbridge, Virginia; daughter Melissa Costello of Meadville; two granddaughters Janna Riva & Fiancé Dakota Ball, Nicole Dewitt and a sister & brother in law Mary Ann & Nick Plevel of Belle Vernon.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Francisco R. Gan Jr. Pastor of St. Sebastian R.C. Church officiating.  Interment will take place in Mon Valley Memorial Park.

Members of the Rostraver Volunteer Fire Dept. will conduct services Tuesday evening at 7 pm in the funeral home.
