Shawn E. Lasko

Shawn E. Lasko, 43, of Johnstown, formerly of Perryopolis, died Saturday, August 26, 2017.  Born December 14, 1973 in N. Charleroi, he was the son of the late Joseph D. Lasko and Betty A. Lafko Lasko who survives and resides in Perryopolis.   A resident of Johnstown for the past 12 years, Mr. Lasko was a member of St. John the Baptist RC Church and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ligonier.  He was a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for the Commonwealth of PA Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, Johnstown, a member of the Rotary club of Richland for 7 years, was a musician, singer and songwriter.  After attending camp as a youth he later went back as served as a counselor for Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Camp STAR and also served as a volunteer for the Conemaugh Hospice.  Shawn also enjoyed gardening, fishing, hiking, canoeing and other various outdoor activities.

He is survived by his wife Jessica Crum-Lasko to whom he was married for four years, two brothers & sisters in law Joseph & Lisa Lasko of Belle Vernon, Mark & Jeannie Lasko of Pheonix, AZ; nieces and nephews Rachel Dew and husband John, Cassie Libby and Zach Libby; mother in law Patti Kristoff & husband John of Johnstown, father in law Bruce Crum of Johnstown and his beloved pets Milton, Bob & Athena.

Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty St. Perryopolis, PA 15473 724-736-2515.  Prayers of Transfer will be held Saturday at 10:30 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 11:00 am at St. John the Baptist RC Church with the Rev. John Euker as celebrant.  Interment will take place in St. Nicholas Cemetery.  A memorial service for Shawn will be held at a later date at the Unitarian Universalist Church, Ligonier for those that were unable to attend the funeral.  The Family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Shawn E.
