Stephen Logoyda

November 28, 1930 — February 2, 2018

Stephen Logoyda, 87, of Perryopolis, died Friday, February 2, 2018 at Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown.  Born November 28, 1930 in Perryopolis, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary Krivenko Logoyda.  A lifelong resident of Perryopolis, Mr. Logoyda was a lifelong member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Perryopolis, was a retired automotive mechanic for Region Buick, Uniontown and was a veteran of the Korean War having served with the US Air Force.  He was a member of the Perryopolis VFW Post 484 and the Perryopolis American Legion.  Stephen also loved farming and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Katherine Dolores  Kurutz Logoyda to whom he was married 62 years; son & daughter in law Stephen Michael & Dianne Logoyda of Randolph, NJ; two daughters & son in law Matrona Ann & German Busch of Fairfax, VA, Mary Katherine Ferrari of Fairfax, VA; seven grandchildren Kaylee Logoyda, Kimberly Logoyda, Collin Logoyda, Connor Logoyda, Alexandra Busch, Cassandra Redden, Justine Ferrari; three great grandchildren Jayden, Mylee & Arya; brother Peter Logoyda of Dade City, FL, and a sister Anne L. Pantalo of Pittsburgh.  He is preceded in death by three brothers Mike, John, George Logoyda; sister Mary L. Vrabel and two infant sisters Mary & Matrona Logoyda.

Visitation will be held Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty St. Perryopolis, PA 15473 724-736-2515.  Prayers services will be held Tuesday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by funeral divine liturgy at 10am at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church with the Rev. Oleh Seremchuk officiating.  Interment will take place in St. Nicholas Cemetery.  Parastas services will be held Monday evening at 7pm in the funeral home.

Steve's family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Ada, her family and the staff of Generations Eldercare for providing a second home to Steve and our family.  For over seven years they provided Steve with exceptional care, companionship and unconditional love.
