Virginia L. Stewart

February 10, 1938 — June 24, 2017

Virginia Kohrman Stewart, 79, of Flatwoods, died Saturday, June 24, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Born February 10, 1938 in Uniontown, she was the daughter of the late Harry F. and Mary Sherlock Kohrman.   A resident of Flatwoods for the past 53 years, Mrs. Stewart was a member of St. John the Baptist RC Church, Perryopolis, was a member of the Silver Sneakers, loved to cook and bake which was enjoyed by many.

She is survived by four children Deborah & Patrick McConville of Flatwoods, Peggy Marcinek of Flatwoods, Robin & Roger Poling of Perryopolis, James L. & Anna Marie Stewart of Greensburg; nine grandchildren Jessica & husband Jason, Patrick & wife Shelby, Andrew & wife Patty, Meghan, Christina & husband Matthew, Adam & wife Jessica, Livia & husband Chris, Carina & husband Mark, Shane; 16 great grandchildren Brooke, Molly, Madie, Mackenzie, Maddie, Teagan, Abigail, Max, Jake, Claire, Joey Raelynn, Alice, Irelynn, Mia, Jade & Mack; two brothers Eugene Kohrman and Richard Kohrman of Point Marion.

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert G. Stewart 9/2/2002; grandson Joseph Robert Marcinek; four brothers Harry F. Kohrman Jr., James, Charles & Gerald Kohrman and four sisters Elizabeth Kohrman, Mary Rush, Gertrude Christie and Patricia Petruska.

Visitation will be held Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty St. Perryopolis, PA 724-736-2515.  Prayers of Transfer will be held Tuesday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10:00 am at St. John the Baptist RC Church with the Rev. Anthony W. Ditto as celebrant.  Interment will take place in Bowman-Flatwoods Cemetery.  Members of St. John the Baptist Church will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Virginia Stewart Monday at 3 pm in the funeral home.
