Jennie P. Puhnaty Grados, 87, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Twp., passed away Monday, October 28, 2019 at McMurray Hills Manor, McMurray. Born March 24, 1932 in California, PA she was the daughter of the late Alex and Catherine Sevanich Puhnaty. Mrs. Grados was a member of the Little Redstone Presbyterian Church, Fayette City where she was an active member of the church, past president of Fayette City Women's Club, enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening playing cards, cleaning and spending every Monday afternoon with her childhood best friend Dorothy. Jennie wasn’t much of a traveler, but for the last several years of her life, she was a traveling grandma making her home between Canonsburg and Grindstone. She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren and her loyal cat Ava.
The last surviving member of her family, she is survived by her four children Michael Grados & wife Susan of Sarasota, Florida, Kathy Hawker & husband Mel of Grindstone, Steven Grados of Carroll Twp., Jennifer Russo & husband Brian of Canonsburg; nine grandchildren Amanda & Denny Bickel, Collin Grados & Hannah Barnes, Melissa & Anthony Brooks, Cori & William Constantine, Alex Grados, Royce Grados, Steven Grados, Zachary Russo, Carter Russo, eight great grandchildren, two brothers in law Nick Grados & wife Lynn, Robert Grados & wife Arlene; two sisters in law Gloria Lofink & husband William, Joan Cunningham and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Frederick N. Grados and 10 siblings.
Visitation will be held Friday from 5-7 pm at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183 followed by funeral services at 7 pm in the funeral home with the Pastor Joshua Scully officiating. Private family interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery on Saturday. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at McMurray Hills Manor and OSPTA Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
