John M. Nusser Sr.

John M. Nusser Sr., 81, of Belle Vernon, Washington Twp., died Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 8:49 am at his home.  Born October 15, 1936 in Monessen, he was the son of the late John H. and Teresa Tangle Nusser.  A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 50 years, Mr. Nusser was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church and was a retired Pennsylvania State Trooper from the Belle Vernon Barracks Troop B.  He was a Veteran of the US Army serving with the military police, member of the Fraternal Order of Police and enjoyed going to all of his grandchildren's activities.

He is survived by his wife Jerry Davis Nusser to whom he was married 54 years; daughter & son in law Lynnette & Tom Tokay of Belle Vernon; son & daughter in law John M. Nusser Jr. and wife Betty of Belle Vernon; five grandchildren Damien Tokay, Brenton Tokay, Katrina Tokay, Jessica Nusser, Cameron Nusser and very special friends Nancy & Bob Brazzon.  He is preceded in death by a sister Justine Brazzon.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.  Prayers of Transfer will be held Wednesday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10:00 am at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Francisco R. Gan Jr. Pastor as celebrant.  Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of John Nusser Tuesday at 3 pm and the FOP will conduct services Tuesday at 7 PM both in the funeral home.  The family would also wish to extend a special thank you to Lauren and Brittany from Amedisys Hospice for their compassionate care.
