Scott E. Miller

Scott E. Miller, 51, of New York City, formerly of Fayette City, died Monday, October 22, 2018 at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York.  Born March 22, 1967 in Pittsburgh, PA he was the son of Sharon Barnes Miller and Gary Dalton of Fayette City and John ‘Jack’ Miller and spouse Diana of Belle Vernon.  Scott worked as an executive at Thomson Reuters, New York and was founder and executive director of several start-up companies.  He graduated from Belle Vernon Area High School Class of 1985 and later earned his MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.  Scott enjoyed traveling, cooking and was well known for hosting and entertaining family and friends.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife Crista Barnes Miller to whom he would have been married 7 years on November 11th, brother Ryan Miller of Fayette City; sister & brother in law Lisa & Frank Pilarcik of Scenery Hill; nephews Jonathan, Jake & Alex; niece Calla and father in law & mother in law John & Alicia Barnes of West Palm Beach, Florida.  He is preceded in death by his niece Paige Miller.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations at 10 AM with Rev.
