Steve 'Pap' Muzina

Steve ‘Pap’ Muzina, 90, of Gillespie, died Thursday, December 27, 2018 at his home with his family by his side.  Born September 1, 1928 in Arnold City, he was the son of the late Martin and Rosie Kroskie Muzina.  A lifelong resident of Gillespie, Mr. Muzina was a member of the Perryopolis United Methodist Church and owned and operated Steve’s Garage in Gillespie.  Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping, watching football and striking up a conversation with anyone.  Most of all Steve loved to work and did not retire until he was 86.

He is survived by his five children Sharyn Giovannelli & husband Roy of Perryopolis, Steve Muzina & wife Rebecca of Jeanette, Roger Muzina & wife DeeDee of Gillespie, Pamela Moody of Charleroi, Philip Muzina & wife Barbara of Perryopolis; 13 grandchildren Jason Giovannelli & wife Rebecca, Jennifer Ferrell & husband Charles, Janel Giovannelli, Sean Bower, Sheryl Muzina, Steve Muzina & wife Shane, Jonathan Muzina & wife Dawn, Jeremey Sellew & wife Jill, Roger Zane Muzina, Adam Moody, Carissa Moody, Gabrielle Muzina, Logan Muzina; sister Rosella DuBarr of Charleroi; brother & sister in law Edward & Bobbie Muzina of Grindstone and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.  He is preceded in death by his wife Rita Gardner Muzina; two brothers John and Joseph Muzina and three sisters Helen, Sophie & Mary.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty St. Perryopolis, PA 15473 724-736-2515.  Funeral services will be held Monday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Derek Platt and Associate Pastor Rose Granato of Perryopolis United Methodist Church officiating.  Interment will take place in Mt. Washington Cemetery.
