Albert A. 'Butch' Connelly

Albert A. ‘Butch’ Connelly, 79, of Grindstone, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at his home.  Born January 2, 1943 in Pittsburgh, PA he was the son of the late Joseph L. and Mabel Tomlinson Connelly.  Protestant by faith, Butch was retired from Whg-Pgh Steel, Monessen Plant, where he worked as a Mill Wright, volunteered at the Perryopolis Food Bank for many years, was a member of the Kern County Prospector Club and worked as an attendant at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC in both Belle Vernon and Perryopolis for the past 7 years.  Butch was very devoted to his family and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Carol Ruth Welch Connelly to whom he was married 55 years; two sons David Terry of Los Banos, California, Jonathan Connelly of Grindstone; three daughters Nancy Owens of Missouri, Dawn Angel Borreggine, Louanne Terry of Oklahoma and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his brother Tom Glawinski and two sisters Katherine Roberts and Velma Adams.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 pm at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty St. Perryopolis, PA 724-736-2515.   Funeral services will be held Monday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC at 10 AM with the Rev. James Meyer of Fairview United Methodist Church, Jefferson Twp. officiating.  Interment will take place in Mt. Washington Cemetery.
