Andrew ‘YumYum’ Krolik, 88, of Belle Vernon, Washington Twp., died Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Mon Valley Care Center, Carroll Twp. Born October 30, 1927 in Naomi, PA he was the son of the late George and Bertha Stilehanich Krolik. A resident of Belle Vernon for over 60 years, Mr. Krolik was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church, was retired from Whg-Pgh Steel, Allenport Plant, where he worked as a crane operator and was a veteran of World War II where he served in the US Army. He was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659, enjoyed gardening, was an avid Steelers fan and always looked after and helped his family.
He is survived by his wife Agnes Ludwick Krolik to whom he was married 62 years; three sons & two daughters in law Andrew A. & Teresa Krolik of North Belle Vernon, Leonard & Rosemarie Krolik of Belle Vernon, Daniel Krolik of Belle Vernon; daughter & son in law Cheryl & Kevin Jenkins of Annapolis, MD; five grandchildren Katie Preston & husband Hayes, Jeremy Jenkins, Eric Krolik, Emily Krolik, Leonard Krolik and a great grandson Charles Andrew Preston. He is preceded in death by five brothers John, Mike, George, Charles and Samuel Krolik and two sisters Elizabeth Moskal and Ann Andrews.
Visitation will be held Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Prayer Service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10:00 am at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Andrew Monday at 3 pm in the funeral home and the Belle Vernon American Legion will conduct services Monday evening at 7 pm both in the funeral home.
