Anna Gombo Michaels, 85, of Monessen, died Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 12:36 pm at Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Twp. Born August 18, 1930 in Monessen, PA she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Gombo.
A lifelong resident of Monessen, Mrs. Michaels was a member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Monessen, was a homemaker and enjoyed playing bingo.
She is survived by a daughter & son in law Michele & Richard Major of Monessen; daughter in law Tieng Michaels of Alexandria, VA; four grandchildren Ron Dinio of Monessen, Lee Michaels, Christina Michaels, Pich Michaels and a brother Mike Gombo of Belle Vernon. She is preceded in death by her husband Elmer Michaels, a son Allan Michaels, brother John Gombo and sister Irene Durmis.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 9-10 am at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183 followed by funeral services at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Stephen J. Wahal of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery.
