Arthur J. Meyers

Arthur J. Meyers, 82, of Smock, died Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Jefferson Hills.  Born April 24, 1936 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mary Ellen Buchner Meyers.  A resident of Smock for the past 48 years, Mr. Meyers was a member of St. John The Baptist RC Church was the owner and operator of Art Meyers Car Upholstery on Rt 51 and Rt 88.  Arthur was a member of the Uniontown Knights of Columbus, Colonial & Smock Gun Clubs, various area golf leagues and loved spending time with his family and always found a way to make people laugh.

He is survived by his wife Kathleen Reber Meyers to whom he would have celebrated 59 years of marriage in October; four children Beth Bartolozzi & husband Craig of Dunlevy, Greg Meyers & wife Andrea of Uniontown, Steve Meyers & wife Stacy of Smock, Karin Yourchik & husband Michael of Uniontown; seven grandchildren Matthew Bartolozzi, Melina Bartolozzi, Daniel Meyers, Bryan Yourchik, Jaryd Custer, Garett Shoemaker, Hattie Shoemaker; sister Coletta Cline of Pittsburgh and a brother William Meyers of Pittsburgh.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty St. Perryopolis, PA 724-736-2515.  Prayers of Transfer will be held Friday at 10:00 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10:30 am at St. John The Baptist RC Church.  Members of St. John the Baptist parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Arthur Meyers Thursday at 3 pm in the funeral home.  The Family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Arthur J. Meyers to ALS Foundation.
