Barbara Strychalski Major, 82, of Belle Vernon, Washington Twp., passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at her home with her daughter at her side. Born July 7, 1944 in N. Charleroi, PA she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Stella Kaplon Strychalski. A resident of Belle Vernon (Fairhope) for all her life. Mrs. Major retired from Wal Mart where she worked in retail sales. She was a member of the Belle Vernon Moose (Ladies of the Moose)and the American Legion where she enjoyed playing bocce. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends Janet Cooper & Judy Mitchell and going to Bingo. At home she enjoyed doing crafts and relaxing with fur babies.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Patrick Major of Monessen. She is survived by her daughter Lesa L. Major of Belle Vernon (Fairhope), her best and closest friend Cynthia Mytrysak from Golf Breeze Florida, and her cousin Bernard and Debbie Strychalski from Fairhope.
