Bernard Johnson

Bernard J. Johnson, 48, of Monessen, formerly of Belle Vernon, died Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 4:40 am at Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Twp.  Born December 3, 1968 in N. Charleroi, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Shirley A. Klasmeyer Johnson.  A graduate of West Virginia University, he was a paramedic, served as Deputy Chief of the Mon Valley EMS, was a certified lifesaving instructor, a life member of the Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Company and a former member of the Belle Vernon Borough Council.

He is survived by his brother & sister in law Scott E. & Amie Johnson of Charleston, WV; two nieces Madeline Johnson and Sophie Johnson both of Charleston WV; his honorary step mother Diane Zober of California and many extended relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday August 19, 2017 from 6-7:30pm at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Followed by funeral services at 7:30 PM with the Rev. Francisco R. Gan Jr. Pastor of St. Sebastian R.C. Church officiating.  Interment will take place in Grandview Cemetery.  The Family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Bernard J. Johnson to Belle Vernon Fire Company.
