Betty Jean Vargo

July 7, 1930 — December 2, 2016

Betty Jean Ambrose Vargo, 86, of Belle Vernon, died Friday, December 2, 2016 at 9:45 pm at Washington County Health Center, Washington.  Born July 7, 1930 in North Belle Vernon, PA she was the daughter of the late Charles C. and Edith Vizza Ambrose.   A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Vargo was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church, Belle Vernon, was a retired office manager from Haven Crest Nursing home and retired technician from Wal Mart Vision Center.  She was a member of the Anita Garibaldi Society of Belle Vernon, enjoyed several cards clubs and book clubs and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Albert Vargo to whom she was married 65 years; two daughters & sons in law Nancy & Terry Menzler of Belle Vernon, Darlene & Joe Leone of Cranberry Twp.; sister & brother in law Marlene & Jack France of Charleroi; sister in law Jean Ambrose of North Belle Vernon; five grandchildren Ryan Christy & wife Kelly, Tara Edwards & husband Matthew, Rebecca Pawuk & husband Ryan, Morgan Kroskie & husband Jonathan, Anthony Leone & wife Lori and 10 great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her Brother Fidel C. Ambrose.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 3-8 pm at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.  Prayers of Transfer will be held Monday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10:00 am at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick Pastor as celebrant.  Entombment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Members of the Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus will conduct services Sunday evening at 7pm in the funeral home.
