Carol Ruth Welch Connelly, 85, of Grindstone, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2026 at WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown. Born December 29, 1940 in Monessen, PA she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ruth Boyer Welch. Mrs. Connelly was protestant by faith and worked as a waitress. She found joy in spending time outdoors, tending to her garden and flowers, enjoying the sunlight, and caring for her home.

She is survived by her two sons David Terry of Los Banos, CA, Jonathan Connelly of Grindstone, two daughters Nancy Owens of Missouri, Louanne Terry of Oklahoma, two sisters Linda Knupp, Margaret Mazza, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Albert 'Butch' Connelly, two sisters Mae Corley, Bonnie White, and three brothers Tom, Dick, And Harry Welch.

Visitation and memorial services will be announced at a later date. Carol’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty St. Perryopolis, PA 724-736-2515. Interment will take place in Mt. Washington Cemetery.
