Daniel R. Blair, 79, of Belle Vernon, Washington Twp., passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Mon Valley Care Center, Carroll Twp. Born November 24, 1946 in N. Charleroi, PA he was the son of the late Dallas Raymond and Jessie Rae Gardner Blair. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mr. Blair was Protestant by faith and was a retired electrician from US Steel. He served as Union Vice-President when he retired from Irvin Works. Daniel worked for Volkswagen until the plant closed. In addition, he operated as a self-employed electrical contractor. Mr. Blair proudly served in the United States Army Reserves, based in Uniontown, retiring with the rank of First Lieutenant. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, and cooking. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his granddaughters, as well as, vacationing with his family.

He is survived by his wife Teresa ‘Tess’ Crusan Blair to whom he was married to for 56 years, two sons & daughters in laws Todd & Kristin Blair, Ryan & Holly Blair, sister Debby Dubinsky, four granddaughters Alyssa Blair, Alivia Blair, Marley Strother, Luna Blair, special nieces Rayann Dubinsky, Allyson Lee (Jeff), and great nieces & great nephews. Daniel is also survived by his special cousins Randy Blair, Matt Blair, and their families who reside in Florida. He is preceded in death by his brother in law Richard Dubinsky.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff at Mon Valley Care Center for their loving care and kindness to Daniel.

Visitation will be held Monday from 5-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC at 1:00 PM with the Pastor Jeff Marton of HOPE Center Church officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
