David LaRosse

David P. LaRosse, 70, of Charleroi, PA passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Penn Highlands - Mon Valley Hospital. Born December 1, 1954, in Johnstown, PA he was the son of the late Henry and Ellen Mearkle LaRosse.

The only thing in life that Dave loved more than his family was Jesus. He had a true servant’s heart; and a passion for sharing the gospel with people who might not know Jesus personally. Dave had a light hearted spirit about him; with a silly sense of humor, and little to no regard for looking foolish, provided it brought smiles and laughter to those he loved.  In his spare time, Dave loved to be active. He enjoyed working out and playing pickleball, table tennis, golfing, and fishing.

Dave is survived by his two daughters & sons-in-law: Jessica (Jeremy) Wohltmann of Concord, NC, Tanya (Burt) Hunt of Concord, NC; four grandchildren: Jacob Hunt, Charleigh Wohltmann, Clayton Wohltman,, Emmett Wohltmann; brother & sister-in-law Charles & Cindy LaRosse and sister Cindy Cestari, along with several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife Mayda (Rey) LaRosse and brother Kenneth LaRosse.

A service to celebrate Dave’s life will be held at Noon on Saturday, Aug. 2nd, 2025 at Covenant Global Methodist Church located at 802 Green Bag Road, Morgantown, WV 26508. Please join us for fellowship and a celebration meal immediately following at Living by Faith Church located at 137 East Second Street, Brookhaven, WV 26508.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dave can be made to some of his favorite charities:: KLove Christian radio, Preborn Ministries for Ultrasounds, Tunnel 2 Towers or St. Jude.
