Dorothy Karbowsky

Dorothy Karbowsky, 96, of North Belle Vernon, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025 at TLC Personal Care Home, West Newton. Born June 11, 1928 in North Belle Vernon, PA she was the daughter of the late Joseph Karbowsky Sr. and Helen Furtak Karbowsky. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Twp., Dorothy was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, worked as a clerk at Standard Pharmacy, North Belle Vernon, then retired from Mellon Bank and First Federal Savings Bank where she worked as a teller. She enjoyed dancing several times a week and reading.

She is survived by sister in law Marsha Karbowsky and several nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by six brothers and spouses Daniel, Michael (Mary), Joseph Jr. (Mary), Walter, William (Pauline), John Karbowsky, two sisters Florence, Helen Karbowsky, and sister in law Marsha Karbowsky.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 4-8 pm at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Relatives and friends are to gather directly at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church on Friday at 10 AM for funeral services with the Very Rev. Stephan Gresh officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Parastas services will be held Thursday at 7 PM in the funeral home.
