Driscilla J. ‘Drissey’ Baron Lazzari, 66, of Belle Vernon, died Thursday, June 1, 2017 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh with family at her side. Born August 18, 1950 in Fayette City, she was the daughter of the late Adolph and Mildred Jean Wigfield Baron. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Lazzari was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church, Belle Vernon and owned and operated Drissey Lazzari's Beauty Shop, Belle Vernon. A very generous and caring person, she would enjoy occasional trips to the casino to try her luck. Drissey was a former officer and cheerleading sponsor with the Belle Vernon Wildcat Football Association. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her.
She is survived by her husband David Lazzari to whom she was married 47 years, daughter & son in law Dana & Chris Famularo of New Jersey; son & daughter in law Derek & Melanie Lazzari of Indiana; four grandchildren Alaina Famularo, Joshua Famularo, Cecelia Lazzari, Connor Lazzari; two brothers & sisters in law Ron & Barbara Baron of California, John & Lynn Baron of Belle Vernon; three sisters & brother in law Carol & Lou Sellaro of Belle Vernon, Joanne Latkanich of Belle Vernon, Rose Baron & Tony DelVerme of Waltersburg and many loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son David Lazzari Jr. and a brother in law Tom Latkanich.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held Wednesday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10:00 am at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick Pastor as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Driscella Lazzari Tuesday at 3 pm in the funeral home.
