Eleanor M. Dziak Atkins, 87, of North Belle Vernon, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Mt. Macrina Manor, Uniontown surrounded be loved ones and the staff of workers at Mt. Macrina Manor. Born May 16, 1937, in Cokeburg, PA she was the daughter of the late Albert and Margaret Miller Dziak. A resident of North Belle Vernon, Mrs. Atkins was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church, Belle Vernon and was retired from Duritza's market, North Belle Vernon, where she worked as a Deli Clerk. Eleanor enjoyed needle point and playing Bingo.
She is survived by her son & daughter in law Gary T. & Vicki Atkins of Perryopolis, daughters Debra Atkins McElfresh of North Belle Vernon, Karen Atkins Martin of Belle Vernon; six grandchildren Jason, Missy, Tiffany, Chadd, Jenny & Amber and 12 great grandchildren Tyler, Alley, Zavier, Caleb, Dominic, Hannah, Taylor, Liam, Chris, Jade, Braelynn & Grayson. She is preceded in death by her husband Gale T. Atkins; three brothers Tommy Dziak, Fred Dziak, Andy Dziak; two sisters Dorothy Dziak, Anna Mae Hormell and infant twins.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held Wednesday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10:00 am at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Vincent Concepcion as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
