Frank A. Staropoli Jr.

Frank A. Staropoli, Jr., 83, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Twp., passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Jefferson Hospital. Born July 14, 1941 in McKeesport & a resident of Clairton, PA for over 30 years, Frank was a Steelworker at Teledyne Firth-Sterling Stainless Steel Company. His second job for Nickolich Towing & Salvage spurred a bigger dream. He bought a home & acreage in Rostraver Township, relocated his family and built a masterful, multifaceted business that became his legacy known as Starr Auto Service (Towing & Salvage Yards).

He was the son of the late Frank Anthony and Angela Cerra Staropoli. A resident of Belle Vernon for over 50 years, Mr. Staropoli was a devout member of St. Anne Catholic Church of Rostraver. He was a member of the Perryopolis Sons and Daughters of Italy and Canonsburg Elks Lodge #846. Frank is a veteran and proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed fishing, boating, dancing, playing cards, NASCAR & drag racing motorsports & the Pittsburgh Steelers

He is survived by his loyal loving companion of 38 years his wife, Sandra Hakulin Oliver Staropoli, twin daughters Natalie L. Staropoli of Folly Beach, SC, Nannette L. Staropoli of Naples, FL, daughter, Lori Oliver of Stow, OH, honorary son Nicky Nickolich of Clairton, PA. Three grandchildren Fallon (Shawn) Bellestri, Anthony (Rachael) Staropoli, Nicolette (Greg) Mast. Six great grandchildren Jacob Staropoli, Gianna Staropoli, Lily Ann Bellestri, Livia London Bellestri, Kendalyn Staropoli & Julia Mast.  He is preceded in death by his parents & beloved son, Frank “Pete” Joseph Staropoli, two sisters Paulette J. (Jerry) Rote and Rosemary C. (Gene) Connor.

A private interment will take place at St. Clare of Assisi Cemetery, Clairton. Frank’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.
