Gary Raymond ‘Ears’ Sekoski, 65, of Belle Vernon, died Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Twp. Born June 10, 1953 in New Eagle, PA he was the son of the late Raymond and Irene Kovach Sekoski. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mr. Sekoski was Russian Orthodox by faith.
Gary attended California University for wood shop study and later attended the Pittsburgh Diesel Institute and drove tractor trailer. He was later employed by Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Monessen plant until its shutdown. Gary operated his own tree cutting service until becoming a yard manager for 84 Lumber, Bridgeville and retiring from Rennekamp Lumber in Greentree. Gary loved the Beatles, NASCAR, Cameron County, animals and woodworking.
He is survived by his companion of 20 years Carol C. Winter of Belle Vernon; two sons & daughter in law Joshua & Ashleigh Sekoski of Washington DC, Jarrod Sekoski of South Carolina and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 6-7:30 pm at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183 followed by funeral services at 7:30 PM with the Very Rev. Constantine Curchin of St. John the Divine Orthodox Church officiating. Interment will take place in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.
