George Adametz

November 11, 1930 — January 15, 2017

George Martin Adametz, 86, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Twp., passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at  his home.  Born November 11, 1930 in Arnold City, he was the son of the late Ladislav and Anna Bartko Adametz.   A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mr. Adametz was a member of St. Sebastian RC Church, Belle Vernon and was a retired foreman from Whg-Pgh Steel, Allenport Plant where he was employed for 35 years.  He was a veteran of the Korean War where he served in the US Army, member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 and the VFW Belle Vernon Post 699.

He is survived by his wife Ann  Previsky Adametz to whom he was married 62 years; daughter & son in law Drena & Joseph Dubrovich of Dillsburg; son Daniel Adametz of Belle Vernon; five grandchildren David Dubrovich & wife Joy, Matthew Dubrovich & wife Rachael, Amy Ross & husband Stuart, Jaclyn Naylor & husband Donald, Jared Adametz; four great grandchildren Brennen Naylor, Isaac Dubrovich, Matthew Dubrovich and Charleigh Adametz; two brothers & sisters in law Michael & Sandy Adametz of Arnold City and Andrew & Marie Adametz of Arnold City.  He is preceded in death by four brothers John Adametz, Charles Adametz, Joseph Adametz, Paul Adametz and a sister Margaret Ludwick.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5-8 pm at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.  Funeral services will be held Thursday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick Pastor of St. Sebastian R.C. Church officiating.  Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Belle Vernon American Legion and VFW will conduct services Wednesday evening at 7 pm in the funeral home.  The family would like to thank the OSPTA Hospice Family, especially Linda, Ann and Ashley for their exceptional and professional care.
