George B. Aul, 91, of Belle Vernon, Washington Twp., passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 12:47 pm at his home surrounded by his family. Born December 9, 1927 in Pittsburgh, PA he was the son of the late George and Rose Kuhn Aul. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 48 years, Mr. Aul was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church and was a veteran of World War II where he served in the US Navy. Mr. Aul was retired from Harmon Lumber Co., where he worked as a Cabinet Maker, was a member of the Carpenters Union and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 252, was a member of the YMCA, enjoyed wood working and crafting items of wood.
He is survived by his wife Loretta M. Davis Aul to whom he was married 67 years; daughter & son in law Kimberly & Anthony Bettile of Canfield, OH; son George F. Aul of Belle Vernon, three grandchildren Anthony Bettile, Brittany Bettile, Jessica Aul; sister Clara Fotta of Glenshaw. He is preceded in death by his infant son John Aul; two brothers Fred Aul, Frank Aul and an infant Sister.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held Monday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10:00 am at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. James Bump as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of George Aul Sunday at 3:30 pm in the funeral home.
