Jack Burton Sickels, 92, of West Palm Beach, FL, died Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 4:50 am at Veterans Administration Hospital, Palm Beach Florida. Born November 22, 1924 in Donora, he was the son of the late Arthur and Thelma Maude Faust Sickels. A resident of West Palm Beach, Mr. Sickels was Baptist by faith and was a retired tool and die maker from Fisher Body. He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the US Marine Corps. in the Philippines and China. Jack was also a past Master of the former Belle Vernon Masonic Lodge 643 F&AM.
He is survived by his wife Helen Zitko Sickels to whom he was married 70 years; three sons & two daughters in law Darryl & Darla Sickels of Belle Vernon, Kim Sickels of Bentleyville, Robin & Sharon Sickels of Loxahatchee, FL; sister & brother in law Karen & Jim Whiting of North Carolina; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by two brothers Richard and Donald Sickels; three sisters Shirley Doniose, Lois Graw and Joan Withers.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held Monday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery with military honors. The Tri-County Masonic Lodge 252 will conduct services Sunday evening at 7 pm in the funeral home.
