James D. Bedsworth

James D. Bedsworth, 72, of Charleroi, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at Washington Hospital, Washington. Born February 27, 1953 in N. Charleroi, PA he was the son of the late Stanley Q. and Betty Ann Sheehan Bedsworth. A lifelong resident of Charleroi, Mr. Bedsworth was Christian by faith. He dedicated many years to public service, retiring as the police chief of North Belle Vernon Borough. His passion for community and camaraderie extended beyond his professional life, as he was a proud member of the Mon Valley Motorcycle Club.

He is survived by his two daughters Bethany Ann Bedsworth of Monessen, Tess Ann Salzman of Carroll Twp., and granddaughter Gionna Josephine Owens. He is preceded in death by his brother Timothy W. Bedsworth.
