Joann (Smichnick) Granato

Joanna Smichnick Granato, 85, of Coal Center, Long Branch, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Grandview Estates of Elizabeth.  Born December 12, 1937 in Pricedale, she was the daughter of the late John and Eve Backo Smichnick.  A resident of Long Branch for the past 49 years, Mrs. Granato attended the HOPE Center Church, Lynnwood, was a retired hostess from Hoss's Restaurant, Belle Vernon, enjoyed shopping and gardening her house plants.

She is survived by son & daughter in law Kevin & Cindy Granato of Long Branch, two grandchildren Brandon & Megan Granato, Natalie Granato and a brother in law & sister in law David & Shirley Granato of Long Branch.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Albert S. Granato (9-13-2020).

Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.  Funeral services will be held Friday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC at 12:30 PM.  Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
