John Senko

John Senko, 94, of Washington Twp., died Friday, February 23, 2018 at Uniontown Health & Rehab surrounded by his loving family.  Born August 31, 1923 in Donora, he was the son of the late Stephan and Theresa Lewiski Senko.   A resident of Washington Twp. for the past 66 years, Mr. Senko was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church and a veteran of WW II having served in the US Navy.  Mr. Senko worked as a driver for Otto Milk and later retired from Babcock & Wilcox, Donora, where he worked as a welder.  John enjoyed gardening, landscaping, woodworking and Bonsai Trees and had an exceptional talent for making Pysanky Ukrainian Easter Eggs.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Krivda Senko to whom he was married 66 years; three children Patti Tacoronte of Chesapeake, VA; John Senko & wife Cheryl of Charleroi, Stefanie McCulloch & husband Donald of Washington Twp.; four grandchildren Bradley Tacoronte, Natalie Tacoronte, Shannon McCulloch and Brock McCulloch.  He is preceded in death by an infant daughter Theresa Margaret Senko; three brothers Nikolas Zavinsky, Michael Zavinsky and Edward Senko.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.  Prayers of Transfer will be held Wednesday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10:00 am at St. Sebastian R.C. Church.

Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of John Senko Tuesday at 3 pm in the funeral home.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Amedisys Hospice nurses and the staff at Uniontown Health and Rehab for the tender and loving care they gave to our husband and father.
