John Patrick Timlin Jr.

John Patrick ‘Tim’ Timlin Jr., 95, of Long Branch, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at AHN Jefferson Hospital, Jefferson Hills. Born December 10, 1929 in Roscoe, PA he was the son of the late John P. Timlin Sr. and Ida Pauline Hall Timlin. A resident of Coal Center for the past 67 years, Mr. Timlin was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church, Belle Vernon, and was retired from Whg-Pgh Steel Allenport, where he worked in the Shipping Department. He was a veteran of Korean War where he served in the US Air Force, was a member of the Roscoe American Legion, enjoyed music and played in several country bands over the years. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife Joan Moluski Timlin to whom he would have celebrated 74 years of marriage on October 6, six children Jack & Jeannie Timlin of Fallowfield Twp., Patty & Tom Downes of Speers, Kathy Vercoe of Roscoe, Terry Timlin of Stockdale, Janet & Ken Santoro of Fallowfield Twp., Jim & Rhonda Timlin of Belle Vernon, ten grandchildren Tim, Gary & Abby Timlin, Craig Downes, Erin Arnold, Corey Downes, Jamie Dundr, Ryan Vercoe, Christina Bozarth, Paul Masten, and 13 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a son in law Ed Vercoe, daughter in law Barb Timlin, three sisters Kathryn Rusell, Dorothy Zubritsky, and Mary Kent.

Private family visitation was held for the family. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at St. Sebastian R.C. Church on Friday for funeral mass at 11 AM with Rev. Michael Thomas of St. Sebastian Church as celebrant. Interment will take place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Coal Center.
