Joseph G. Martin

Joseph G. Martin, 87, of Perryopolis, Jefferson Twp., passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.  Born May 17, 1936 in Palmer, PA he was the son of the late Joseph W. and Helen Krukowsky Martin.  A lifelong resident of the Perryopolis area, Mr. Martin was a member of St. John The Baptist RC Church, Perryopolis.  Joseph was a retired heavy equipment operator and farmer.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed woodworking, and making furniture for his home and others.  He was well known for having friends and family stopover at his garage.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Nussbaumer Martin to whom he was married to for 66 years, son & daughter in law Scott & Aimee Martin of Perryopolis, daughter Amy Kolarova & Ron Cagle of Atlanta, GA, brother & sister in law Bernard & Katie Martin of Perryopolis, and five grandchildren Zachary, Elizabeth, Josiah, Olivia & Elias.  He is preceded in death by his infant brother Thomas Martin.
