Joseph G. Antal

Joseph G. Antal, 92, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Twp., died Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 4:32 pm at Residence At Hilltop, Carroll Twp.  Born February 12, 1924 in Belle Vernon, he was the son of the late Martin Antal Sr. and Agnes Golema Antal.   A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mr. Antal was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church, Belle Vernon, was a retired carpenter from Whg-Pgh Steel, Allenport Plant and enjoyed woodworking.  He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the US Army Air Corps.

He is survived by two sons and daughter in law Nicholas J. Antal of Belle Vernon, Edward & Debbie Antal of Belle Vernon; three grandchildren Christopher Antal, Sara Antal, Bradley Antal; two great grandchildren Tyler Baker, Ava Antal and a sister Elizabeth Lucas of Pricedale.  He is preceded in death by his wife Ann Regal Antal, three brothers Martin Antal Jr., John Antal and Stephen Antal and six sisters Pauline Antal, Ann Cernicky, Helen Bassar, Mary Leonard, Spohie Nusser and Stella Trenk.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.  Prayers of Transfer will be held Friday at 9:00 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 9:30 am at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick Pastor as celebrant.  Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Joseph Antal Thursday at 3 pm in the funeral home.
