Julia 'Feena' Bakaitis Mullen, 99, of Charleroi, died Monday, August 15, 2016 at 12:41 pm at Hallsworth House, Monessen. Born June 6, 1917 in Warner, PA she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sophie Yukna Bakaitis. A lifelong resident of Charleroi, Mrs. Mullen was a member of Mary Mother of the Church, Charleroi, was a homemaker enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting.
She is survived by a sister Nellie J. Halgas of North Belle Vernon, several nieces & nephews, including her niece Shirley Mavrakis of North Belle Vernon who helped take care of her. She is preceded in death by her husband John 'Red" Mullen (2/26/1990), three brothers Joseph Bakaitis, Lawrence Bakaitis, Peter Bakaitis and a sister Jessie Brown.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held Friday at 9:15 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10:00 am at Mary Mother of the Church with the Rev. Gerald Mikonis as celebrant. Interment will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
