Louis J. Thompson, 73, of Pittsburgh, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at VA Hospital, Oakland, Pittsburgh. Born April 29, 1947 in Newark, NJ he was the son of the late Louis and Ruth Rodgers Thompson. A resident of Allison Park and Pittsburgh, Louis enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and model trains. He was retired from Pittsburgh Emergency Medical Services, where he worked as a medical clerk and supply distribution and was a veteran in the US Navy and served the USS Denver to Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife Anna Kay Flanick Thompson to whom he would be celebrating 49 years on January 22, daughter & son in law Tamara 'Tammy' Thompson & Greg Kalaway, son & daughter in law Edward & Jennifer Thompson, sisters Barbara Thompson, Pamela Bickar, grandchildren Emilee Stiehler (Brandon Stiehler), Kaitlyn Thompson, Edward Thompson, Christopher Kalaway, Brandan Kalaway, great granddaughter Amelia Thompson, great grandson on the way Christian Stiehler, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother Richard Thompson and sister Sandy Thompson-Swedko.
