Mafalda 'Muffy' Blevins

Mafalda ‘Muffy’ Pro Blevins, 95, of Belle Vernon, died Sunday, November 27, 2016 at 6:39 am at Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. Born August 7, 1921 in Pittsburgh, PA she was the daughter of the late Andrew P. and Anna Maria Cardinale Pro. A resident of Belle Vernon for 66 years, Mrs. Blevins was a member of St. Sebastian RC Church, Belle Vernon. Muffy was a former cafeteria manager for St. Sebastian School, served as President of the former St. Sebastian's Ladies Guild for over 20 years, member of the former St. Sebastian Legion of Mary, served as a Eucharistic minister at the church and from 1979-2009, made and presented newborn babies with a Baptismal garment. Over the years, Muffy cooked at many Spaghetti dinners for the church, Belle Vernon American Legion and North Belle Vernon Fire Dept. and would assist the Belle Vernon Rotary club in its annual pancake festival. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, art and crafts.
She is survived by two sons & daughter in law Robert P. and Paula Blevins of Acme, James V. Blevins of Warrington; daughter Karen Webber of Broomfield, CO; a daughter in law Patricia Blevins of Warrington; five grandchildren Justin Blevins, Christopher Blevins, Amanda Blevins, Kellie Webber, Rachel Webber Boselli and three great grandchildren Jaxon Boselli, Violet and Sophia. She is preceded in death by her husband Earl V. Blevins Jr.; a son Earl A. Blevins; four brothers John, Joseph, Raymond and James Pro; five sisters Amelia Houston, Flora Pro, Josephine Pro, Rose LeClair, Isabella Matrozzo and a son in law Ned Webber.
Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held Saturday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations at 09:30 AM with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick Pastor of St. Sebastian R.C. Church officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Muffy Friday at 3 pm in the funeral home.
