Margaret L. Williams

Margaret L. Williams, 94, of Perryopolis, died Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 9:45 am at Horizon Personal Care Home, Fairchance.  Born April 28, 1924 in Wickhaven. she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Evelyn McCracken Williams.  Margaret was a 1941 graduate of Perry-Lower Tyrone High School and a 1944 graduate of St. John's School of Nursing, Pittsburgh, PA.  and was later employed as a registered nurse for many years at the former St. John's Hospital.  Margaret also worked for the Frazier School District following her retirement from nursing.  She was a member of St. John the Baptist RC Church, Perryopolis, enjoyed working in her yard, building puzzles, reading, watching westerns on TV and visiting with family members with her dog Max at her side.

She is survived by her sister Dolores Matras of Perryopolis; nephew Michael (Maureen) Matras of Perryopolis; great niece Maura (Aaron) Drop of Millvale; two great nephews Michael (Cara) Matras of Perryopolis and Mark Matras of Mt. Pleasant.  She is preceded in death by two infant brothers Ralph and Woodrow Williams and a brother James Williams.

A memorial funeral mass was held Saturday January 12, 2019 at St. John The Baptist RC Church with the Rev. Alvin E.
