Margaret 'Peggy' Banasick

Margaret L.'Peggy' Desantos Banasick, 75, formerly of Rostraver Twp. And Perryopolis, died Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown. Born November 16, 1941 in Connellsville, PA she was the daughter of the late Hendrick Irving Penn and Louise Patrick Penn. Mrs. Banasick was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church, Belle Vernon, was the former owner of Kay's Hallmark Card Shop, Rostraver Twp. and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her three children Lisa & Greg Brown of Latrobe, John P. & Kerri Banasick of Washington, Peter & Tara Banasick of West Newton; seven grandchildren Jessica, Alexis, Cameron, Evan, Austin, Makayla & Sydney and a sister & brother in law Cathy & Alan Boyd of Red Oak, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband John P. Banasick (10/17/2016).
Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held Friday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10:00 am at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick Pastor as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
