Mary M. Kovalsky

Mary M. Maguire Kovalsky, 97, of Fayette City, formerly of North Belle Vernon, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Penn Highlands - Mon Valley, Monongahela.  Born September 17, 1926 in Monessen, PA she was the daughter of the late Francis and Lillian Hickey Maguire.  A resident of Fayette City for the past eight years, previously of North Belle Vernon, Mrs. Kovalsky was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church and former member of St. Sebastian Ladies Guild.  She was a homemaker, an avid reader, enjoyed old movies, and traveling to the beach and Ohio Pyle.

She is survived by two daughters & son in law Rose & Mark Souply of Fayette City, Mary Igoe & Pat Smider of Canonsburg, sister Louise Stark of North Belle Vernon, five grandsons David Igoe, Matthew & wife Constance Kovalsky, Pete Kovalsky, Adam & wife Thea Souply, Aaron & wife Jessica Souply, seven great grandchildren Olsen & Lyla Igoe, Levi Kovalsky, Luc, Jackson, Kyler, and Esman Souply and numerous nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband Peter Kovalsky (3-14-2003), two sons and daughters in law Pete (Linda) Kovalsky, Hugh (Louann) Kovalsky, infant son Francis Kovalsky, two brothers Francis and Thomas Maguire, and sister Lillian Maguire.
