Mary M. Strickland

Mary M. Miller Strickland, 90, of Roscoe, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025 in her home. Born August 27, 1934 in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Samuel W. Miller Sr. and Mary E. Fanrak Miller. A resident of Roscoe for the past 39 years, Mrs. Strickland was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church where he assisted at RCIA, sang in the funeral choir, and served as Eucharistic Minister. Mrs. Strickland was a retired registered nurse and psychotherapist social worker at Greenbrier, Washington. Mary was a member of the NASW and volunteered at Mon Valley Hospital in the emergency ward.

Mary was the last surviving member of her family and is survived by her beloved pet dog, Princess. She is preceded in death by her husband the Rev. Fr. Walter R. Strickland, Episcopal Priest (1-18-2002) and brother Samuel W. Miller Jr. (1989).

Friends are asked to gather directly at St. Sebastian RC Church, Belle Vernon on Monday, July 28th, for funeral mass at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Anthony Onoko as celebrant.
