Mary C. Malachin Seman Takoch, 76, of Washington Twp., formerly of Dunbar, died Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 4:36 pm at her home. Born March 31, 1940 in Dunbar, PA she was the daughter of the late Walter J. and Rose M. Kolat Malachin.
A resident of Fayette City for the past 3 years, Mrs. Takoch was a member of St. John the Baptist RC Church, Perryopolis and was a homemaker. Mary was a member of the former Christian Mothers and Altar Rosary Society of the former Holy Spirit RC Church, Fayette City, she enjoyed crocheting, cooking, crafts and most importantly taking care of her family.
She is survived by a daughter & son in law Janice M. & Domenick Amoroso of Washington Twp.; five sons & daughters in law James A. Seman & wife Dedra of Arnold City, Brian J. Seman & wife Carolyn of Pueblo West, Colorado, David M. Seman & wife Jill of Morgantown, West Virginia, Andrew Seman Jr. & wife Susan of Dunbar, Michael B. Takoch Jr.& wife Kristal of Youngwood; 24 grandchildren Jonathan Kroskie & wife Morgan, David Kroskie, Jennifer Kroskie, Deanne Widmer & husband Luke, Lynn Amoroso, Scott Amoroso &wife Ellen, Courtney Seman, Ashley Seman, Jessica Seman, Jereme Seman, Alicia Gomas & fiance Ryan, Sarah Seman, Daniel Seman, Joseph Seman, Abigail Seman, Andy Seman, Madison Seman, Kate Seman, Kelsie Seman, Christie Seman, Chris Rankin, John Rankin, Tim Rankin & wife Angie, Katherine Painter; five great grandchildren Morgan Amoroso, Rosie Amoroso, Hayden Ross, Ronan Gomas, Elliot Rankin; three sisters Frances Leja of Livonia, Michigan, Martha Morris of Beaver Falls, Rosalie & Larry Bordas of Roaring Branch and her former husband Michael B. Takoch Sr. She is preceded in death by her first husband Andrew Seman Sr.; three brothers Walter Malachin, Joseph Malachin and Edward Malachin.
Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Prayer Service will be held Saturday at 11:15 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 12:00 pm at St. John the Baptist RC Church, Perryopolis with the Rev. Anthony W. Ditto pastor as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Parish wake service will be held Friday at 3:30 pm in the funeral home.
