Michael R. Elwell, 60, of Dawson, passed away Monday, April 13, 2026 at his home. Born October 27, 1965 in Uniontown, PA he was the son of the late Allen D. and Gloria R. Mellinger Elwell. A lifelong resident of Dawson, Mr. Elwell was Methodist by faith, and proudly served in the US Marine Corps. Michael was a retired Laborer from Local 1068 and later was employed by Frazier School District as a custodian. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife Pamela Tom Elwell to whom he was married to for 37 years, daughter Samantha Elwell & companion George of Dawson, son Lucas Elwell of Dawson, grandchildren Tobias & Penelope, sister & brother in law Mary Lou & James Stanley of Dawson, numerous nieces, nephews, brothers in law and sisters in law. He is preceded in death by his brother Joseph D. Elwell, two brothers in law Stephen Varto, Samuel P. Tom Jr.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6-8 PM and Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty St. Perryopolis, PA 724-736-2515. Funeral services will be held Friday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC at 10:00 AM with the Pastor Chuck Jack of Perryopolis United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will take place in Mt. Washington Cemetery.
