Michael Roy Kovalak, 80, of Rostraver Twp., passed away Monday, July 20, 2026 at Excela Health, Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Born July 15, 1946 in New Eagle, PA, he was the son of the late Michael G. and Virginia Kiwalla Kovalak. A resident of Rostraver for the past 55 years, Mr. Kovalak was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, and was a retired computer programmer for 84 Lumber corporate.

He is survived by his wife Linda Lewis to whom they shared 23 years together, sister & brother in law Beverle & Tim Kowalchick of Gaithersburg, MD, niece Kristen Kowalchick of Clarksburg, MD, and niece Kathlene Sataloff & husband Gabe of Charleston, SC. He was preceded in death by his wife Elaine L. Kovalak.

Private visitation and funeral mass were held for the family. Interment took place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Michael’s funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183.
