Negley ‘Ted’ Rodgers Jr., 91, of Belle Vernon, Washington Twp., passed away Thursday, June 4, 2026 in his daughter’s home surrounded by family. Born November 8, 1934 in N. Charleroi, PA he was the son of the late Negley and Hildegarde Byrnes Rodgers. Ted grew up in Belle Vernon, moved to Washington for 15 years, then returned home to Belle Vernon. Mr. Rodgers was a member of St. Sebastian R.C. Church and was a retired Senior Welding Instructor for Columbia Gas. He was a past member of the Charleroi Knights of Columbus, Fayette City-Washington Twp. Lions Club, Charleroi Elks Club, and Croation Fraternal Union Lodge 354 and loved to go camping and fishing.
He is survived by his son & daughter in law Negley 'Ted' Rodgers III & wife Ruth Ann of Belle Vernon, two daughters & sons in law Nadine Davis-Manetta & husband Vincent of Belle Vernon, Beth Ann & Edward Pazo Jr. of Jefferson Hills, pet dog Maha, eight grandchildren Blair Rodgers, Negley Rodgers IV, Lauren Sullivan, Shane Davis, Ryan Davis, Abbey Davis, Alexandra Pazo, Edward Pazo III, five great grandchildren Negley Rodgers V, Riley Rodgers, Peter Sullivan, Elliot Davis, Jack Sullivan, and a great grandson on the way. He is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Pozum Rodgers, brother Nelson Rodger, two sisters Donna Ambrose, Ruth Ann Novisel, and son in law Kim Davis.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held Monday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10:00 am at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Michael Thomas as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Advantage Hospice for their loving care and support.
