Nellie E. Redmond

Nellie E. Davies Redmond, 66, of Monessen, formerly of Fayette City, died Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 5:30 pm at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Jefferson Hills. Born March 28, 1950 in Gillespie, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Brody Davies. A resident of Monessen for the past 2 years, Mrs. Redmond attended Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Belle Vernon and Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, Charleroi and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband Earl J. Redmond to whom she was married 46 years; two twin daughters and son in law Teresa Redmond of Monessen, Mary Ann & Steven Kovatch of Fairhope; two grandsons Steven James Kovatch, Tommy Kovatch; two brothers Thomas Davies of NY, Louis Davies of Perryopolis; sister Mary White of MI and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by six brothers John, George, Michael, Steve, Charlie Fedora, Frank Davies and two sisters Anna Fedora and Marge Book.
Visitation will be held Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Relatives and friends will gather Tuesday February 7th directly at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church for funeral services at 10 am with the Very Rev. Samuel Smolcic of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Parastas Services will be held Monday at 7 pm in the funeral home.
