Newanna L. King

Newanna L. Fleming King, 86, of Dawson, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Penn Highlands - Mon Valley, Monongahela.  Born April 3, 1937 in Layton, PA she was the daughter of the late Ray E. and Mary Thomas Fleming.  A lifelong resident of Layton and Dawson, Mrs. King was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ, Vanderbilt where she was the church pianist for many years. Having a love for flowers, Newanna owned and operated Perry Floral for 25 years.  She had a special love for her friends, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; with a beautiful smile, a contagious laugh that filled the room with her warmth and kindness.

She is survived by son & daughter in law David & Elaine King of Dawson, daughter in law Wilma King of Smock, six grandchildren Kerri Mackley, Joshua King, Adam King, Tyler King, Ashley Palmieri, Vincent Palmieri, and three great grandchildren Elizabeth King, Abigale King, and Charlotte 'Charli' King.  She is preceded in death by her husband Charles E. King Jr. (11-18-2019), infant son Don King, son Dale King, two brothers Kenneth (Evelyn) Fleming, John (Donna) Fleming, two sisters Virginia (Dave) Huey, Thelma (Emerson) Nichols.
