Paul A. Buono

Paul A. Buono, 84, of North Belle Vernon, previously of Arnold, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Penn Highlands - Mon Valley, Monongahela.  Born September 17, 1939 in Creighton, PA he was the son of the late Anthony and Julia McCallah Buono.  A resident of North Belle Vernon for the past year, having previously resided in Arnold for the past 30 years, he was a member of Arnold United Methodist Church.  Paul was a veteran of the US Army, having served in the Vietnam War.  He was a retired truck driver from numerous trucking companies, was a life member of Strattenville American Legion, enjoyed gardening and volunteered at his church and Westmoreland County Food Banks.

He is survived by his wife Alice Huntington Buono to whom he was married to for 63 years, daughter and son in law Sandy & Joe Tretter of North Belle Vernon, daughter Deb Buono of North Belle Vernon, three foster children, sister Julia Spears, three grandchildren Susie Tretter, Joey Tretter III, Magnolia (Dan) Brown, five great grandchildren Adam, Luke, Dominic, Douglas, and Mike, and numerous nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by a brother John Chorvat and sister Ellen Bissonette.
