Obituary

Polly Ann Martin Torruiso, 81, of Perryopolis, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2026 at AHN Jefferson Hospital, Jefferson Hills with her family by her side. Born March 6, 1945 in Connellsville, PA she was the daughter of the late John M. and Alta Pore Martin. A lifelong resident of Perryopolis, Mrs. Torruiso was a member of the First Christian Church, Perryopolis. Polly was a retired waitress and manager at Randall's Restaurant for 25 years. Family was the center of her life, and she especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed relaxing at the family cottage in Lake Erie and cheering on the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers.

She is survived by her husband Steven Torruiso to whom she was married to for 61 years, daughter & son in law Laura & David Skotnicki of Perryopolis, son & girlfriend Michael Torruiso & Sonia Weller of Belle Vernon, daughter & son in law Susan & Stephen Celaschi of Perryopolis, sister & brother in law Amy & John Vozel of Perryopolis, eight grandchildren Kara (Nich) Smith, Kayla (Hunter) Gardner, Joshua (Kenzie) Skotnicki, Benjamin Torruiso, Mathew Torruiso, Dylan (Mackenzie) Celaschi, Taylor (Chris) Pierce, Lily Celaschi, and five great grandchildren Liam, Blake, Stevie, Summer, Charlie, & one on the way in December. She is preceded in death by her parents and stepfather Donald Porter.

Visitation will be held Monday from 9-11:00 AM followed by funeral services at 11 AM with the Pastor Douglas Shoaff of First Christian Church, Perryopolis officiating at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty St. Perryopolis, PA 724-736-2515.
