Richard C. Christopher, 75, of Belle Vernon, died Monday, October 9, 2017 at 2:05 pm at Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Twp. Born December 3, 1941 in Charleroi, he was the son of the late Lloyd M. and Margaret J. Holder Christopher. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mr. Christopher was a member of Harmony Presbyterian Church and was a retired dispatcher for Campbell Transportation Inc.
He is survived by his children L. Dennis Christopher & wife Patricia of Portland, Oregon, Lisa J. Huber of Fayette City, Richard G. Christopher of North East, Maryland, James S. Christopher & wife Rosalyn of North Belle Vernon, Amy L. Sickles & husband Alan of Glen Burnie, Maryland; fiancé Catherine Maiolini; sister & brother in law Margaret 'Peggy' & Scott Huscroft of North Belle Vernon; 10 grandchildren; a great grandchild due in December 2017 and a niece Renee & husband Travis Horne. He is preceded in death by his wife Francine J. Gill Christopher and a brother Lloyd 'Denny' Christopher.
Memorial visitation will be held Thursday from 10-11 am followed by funeral services at 11 am with Pastor Glenn Hart of Harmony Presbyterian Church officiating at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Entombment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Richard C. Christopher to the American Diabetes Association.
